MICHIGAN TRIP
We landed in Michigan today and were so excited that there was still snow on the ground!
I think we were at my mom and dad's about 10 minutes before the kids couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to go outside. Problem was we have no winter clothes and my sister Diana had the coats and boots for us. She was supposed to be over early but my other sister Shawn took a fall while walking her dog Spankey and wound up at the hospital with a broken foot.
So Diana was at her aid and we had no winter jackets and boots. Was that stopping my kids-NO WAY!
So outside we went and David was in his glory as Grandpa showed him how to use the snowblower! :)
So great to be around family!

Merry Christmas Everybody!
Well the day has finally arrived and luckily the kids slept until 7:15 (well, Sophia did and then woke up David)!
They are playing with toys now and enjoying the morning and I'm cleaning up the mess! That Santa is not very neat! :)

SANTA!
We finally got the kids to see Santa today! We were supposed to go last week after David's 6 year check up but found out he had strep throat and had to go straight home!
Anyway, the kids told Santa what they wanted-David asked for a power screwdriver and Sophia asked for sunglasses! :)
All I want is some peace and quiet and alone time with my husband-good luck, right!

OUR MAGICAL DAY!
We actually took David out of school yesterday to go have a family day at Disney after receiving passes from a good friend. We didn't even tell the kids where we were going-we just pulled into the park.
We all had such a blast! David loved Thunder Mountain and Buzz Lightyear (again) and Sophia was tall enough to join us on Thunder Mountain but she liked Cinerella's Carousel and Mickey and Minnie's house the best!
It was a bit chilly outside but perfect for walking around the park! Just no splash moutain!

Happy Birthday David!
Today David turned 6 years old and it started off with cupcakes at school and then when he came home we went to Lil' 500 and raced some Go-Karts.
We had a great time and Sophia really enjoyed herself on the tracks.
The gift of the night was from Grandma-this cool helicopter that flies by controls and goes up and down and picks up things. He loved it (can you tell)!

Today was David's Thanksgiving Program at school and I'm amazed that the kids had to sing 12 songs!
David even had a line to say during the program and John was worried since when he was in Kindergarten and he did a play, he dropped the microphone and it rolled off the stage!
Luckily, David's talent comes from me and he did fine! :)
We got to have lunch outside with him after the program and of course that was Sophia's favorite part!

Sophia was playing with her baby dolls the other day and was determined to sit in their stroller so when she plopped herself in it, I had to snap a photo!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Seriously-who came up with this holiday? Why is it okay to go door to door and ask for candy? :) I laugh as I watch the kids go up to each house and then look in the bag to see what they got and then the excitement that someone is actually putting all this candy in their bag!
We had a fun night at Regina's house (John's sister) with most of the family there. We chowed down on some pizza and salad first and then headed out in the neighborhood. Sophia made it a lot further than last year and I didn't have to carry her and I was thankful for that! :)
Enjoy some photos of the big night!

HALLOWEEN

Today I helped out in David's classroom with Halloween Fun Centers and it was a fun time! I was able to work in the class on Monday and being there today as well helped me to get to know the kids and I'm thankful that it's a good group!

I thought I'd share some photos!

We made a trip out to the pumpkin patch today but stopped at Lowe's first so the kids could make their glow in the dark skeleton's.

I'm so excited to have the weekend off and spend time with the family. We are having a lazy day of football watching! Now if it can only drop 20 degrees, it would be perfect! :)

DAY OFF

We had the day off from school yesterday and the kids had a blast playing all day with their friend Lauren.

We started off the day with a photo shoot with Abby Liga and if you click here you can see the slideshow of it!

Saying Goodbye!

Today was a hard day for the kids-we said goodbye to "Rattles" and "Night Night Passy"! I know it's been a while and I probably should have done it a while ago but it's not easy! Especially when it gives your child comfort. I mean Rattles is like part of the family and those of you who know us, know all about him!

And when Sophia was about 10 months old and she went in the hospital, we brough Night Night Passy back out-I mean come on, can you blame a mother for comforting her child during that time.

BUT ... I have totally put off saying goodbye to them and TODAY was the day. I just said, no better time than the present.

So to all you moms out there who know what I'm going through, I can see your smiles on your faces as you remember doing this. And for those of you who will have to face it one day, I wish you all the best! :)

Sophia's 3rd Birthday!

I am finally beginning a family blog which is long overdue! I was just using my work blog and decided it was time to do things right and have one just for the family!

So I'm staring off with a recent celebration of Sophia's 3rd birthday! Although she doesn't turn 3 until Friday ... but my parents were in from Michigan and since I'll be in Daytona next weekend for a wedding, we decided to do it this weekend.

We spent the day at Omni at Champions Gate with lots of swimming and then came home to have dinner with my parents and then family and a few friends came over for cake and ice cream. The cake was a HUGE hit and I cannot thank Priscilla enough at Party Flavors for creating a dream come true for my little girl!

It was a great day and I'm so thrilled Sophia enjoyed it so much!
